A deciduous shrub which can grow up to 6 meters in height. Leaves are fine toothed, glossy and dark green in color. Pale pink or white blossoms come in clusters which turn into dark red berries in late summer. Highly resistant to low temperatures. Its fruits are packed with antioxidants.
